Safety Statements. No matter how large or small the organisation, a Safety Statement is a key document for all workplaces and is required by law. It is a practical tool for reducing accidents and ill health at work and it also shows commitment to improving Health and Safety standards.
Castle Safety believes that a Safety Statement should be a 'live' document that all staff are aware of and which is implemented at all levels within an organisation, integrated into on-going day-to-day activities and communicated to everyone in the workplace. Part of preparing a Safety Statement is the need for the company to undertake a Risk Assessment of all its activities in the workplace and reviewing you’re the Safety Statement on a regular basis helps keep it alive and useful.
Health and Safety is everyone’s responsibility and Castle Safety designs all of its documentation to be informative and easy to understand.
Health and Safety Audits. Auditing helps organisations understand the effectiveness or weaknesses within their Health & Safety Management systems and even if such a system does not exist, auditing enables Castle’s

Noise & Dust Assessments. The introduction of the new Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Control of Noise at Work) Regulations, 2006 established the requirement that all companies that have employees working in environments of excessive noise must conduct work place noise assessments.
Section 5 of the Act: Determination and Risk Assessments states;

‘....where employees are liable to be exposed to noise at work above a lower exposure action level, an employer shall, in consultation with his or her employees or representatives, or both, make a suitable and appropriate assessment of the risk from such exposure. In carrying out the risk assessment an employer shall, if necessary, measure the levels of noise to which his or her employees are exposed.’

The consultants at Castle Safety are trained workplace noise assessors and have a vast amount of experience in the monitoring and measurement of noise in the work environment. They will conduct a comprehensive noise assessment and survey of the work environment, and from the results prepare work place noise maps identifying areas of concern and recommending control measures to reduce occupational noise exposure.
Castle Safety Ltd. noise monitoring equipment is fully compliant with the requirements of Irish and EU Health & Safety Standards. Occupational dosage monitoring of employees can also be conducted by Castle Safety to ensure that they do not exceed occupational exposure levels, as outlined in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Chemical Agents) Regulations, 2001.
