Manual Handling Course
The Manual Handling course is designed to provide course participants with an increased knowledge of how to undertake manual handling activities in a manner that will prevent injury. The course concentrates on understanding the consequences of incorrect lifting, the philosophy being that the majority of persons know and understand the basic principles of correct lifting, i.e. bend the knees and keep the back straight. If persons understand the consequences of incorrect lifting they may well pay more attention to lifting correctly.

This course combines lectures on the above modules along with a number of videos from the ‘Back In Action’ series; ‘How the Back Works’ and ‘How to Look After Your Back’.
